FRP/GRP Ladders
Kingdom Grating’s commitment to safety and quality extends to our ladder and safety cage systems, constructed from premium-grade isophthalic polyester or vinyl ester resins. These materials not only meet but exceed fire retardancy requirements, complying with UL94 V-0, ASTM D-635, and ASTM D-84 standards, with a robust 60% E-glass reinforcement. Designed to meet the rigorous standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), our ladder systems are engineered to withstand a minimum live load requirement of a 200lb concentrated load at the mid-point of the rung, with a safety factor of 4.0. To ensure reliability, load/deflection tests are conducted at our own QC premises using stringent testing procedures, including the Ladder Rail Horizontal Beam deflection test.
Our ladder systems feature square tube ladder side posts measuring 45x6mm in thickness, continuously fluted to provide a non-slip surface for enhanced safety. Rungs are meticulously crafted and attached using notch bar insertion and chemically bonded with formulated resin glue. Additionally, ladder and safety cage components are manufactured using fire-retardant polyester or vinyl ester resin formula, ensuring visibility with a safety yellow color.
For assembly and fixation, we provide Type SS bolts/nuts/washers, ensuring secure attachment of vertical bars to hoop, cage bracket to ladder, and wall bracket to ladder. Cage hoops, cage brackets, and vertical bars are manufactured using an open mold hand lay-up process, guaranteeing consistency and durability.
Our ladder systems adhere to specific technical data guidelines to ensure compliance and safety. The outside width measures 540mm, with an inside width of 450mm, and rung-to-rung center spacing set at 300mm. Wall bracket spacing is maximized at a center-to-center distance of 1500mm.
Regarding safety cage standards, cages begin a minimum of 2200mm to a maximum of 2400mm above the base of the ladder, with a width not less than 685mm. The cage extends a minimum of 1000mm above the top of the landing, with hoop-to-hoop spacing (center to center) not exceeding 1200mm.
